Job Description
Flomatik Network Services are seeking an experienced telecoms/utility focused surveyor to join our teams based throughout the UK (primary location will be Northern based but other geographic locations will be considered). You will be tasked to work on a major new works project with one of the leading telecoms companies within the UK. The focus of the work will be to survey 3rd party infrastructure to assess and record its suitability and document any proposed network upgrades/installations. The work allocation area will be defined as a specific geographic region. The role will be based from home reporting to a central project team on a daily basis to confirm scheduled works, completion of external survey tasks and ongoing task management. A works van will be provided for this role.

Main Outline Duties and Person Requirement:

  • Surveying 3rd party utility infrastructure for the placement of Telecoms equipment.
  • Overhead and underground knowledge of BTOR plant is essential for this role.
  • Other surveying work will also be undertaken and training will be provided.
  • Taking measurements, digital images as appropriate, recording plant suitability and identifying risks
  • Owning, executing and delivering survey requirements within a geographic region
  • Liaison with any local authority agents and any other third parties as required
  • Highlight and escalate major variances to the nominated project lead
  • Flexible approach in dealing with amendments to allocated information
  • Ensure accurate completion of all survey submissions and work is completed on time

The Typical personal attributes (skills, aptitude and understandings) might include:

  • Civils experience in a Utility & Telecom environment
  • External site survey experience (requirement for NRSWA Street works qualification Unit 2)
  • Able to communicate with people across multiple locations and at different levels, able to identify and work with key stakeholders inside and outside of Flomatik's business
  • Attention to detail and accuracy coupled with a ‘can do’ attitude
  • A total awareness and understanding of current health and safety procedures for working in the UK is essential
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and being PC literate – additional Flomatik and client specific applications will be required (training will be provided where necessary)

The Process:

This is a one stage interview process. A face to face interview will be required in our Minworth office.

Physical Demands

This role is based full-time remotely.  Prolonged periods of driving and physically walking will be required to full fill this role.
