The Construction Project Manager is an integral part of the Flomatik onsite Project team within the Managed Services Business Unit, reporting to the Business Unit Lead. This role involves ensuring the safe and effective delivery of the contracted FTTP services to the client, in line with Flomatik best practice standards governance within the overall project plan to cost, time and quality.

You'll be working on our clients site on the South Coast, you'll be expected to be onsite at least 3 days per week. All expenses for living and travel (from the customer site) will be accommodated, the other day(s) will be remote/home based. This is an initial 6 months contract.

You'll be responsible for engagement and support with client construction build partners and, as part of the wider Flomatik Project team, maintaining accurate records and producing relevant reports throughout the project life cycle – whilst always considering the appropriate Health and Safety measures.  The Construction Project Manager is to ensure risk issues dependencies are managed and escalated as required.

The role holder will assist Flomatik’s Managed Services business unit in supporting and developing this key client account. They will be integral in developing strong customer relationships through providing support during both the planning and implementation phases of Service Delivery. 

Key responsibilities:
  • Prioritise and schedule all work activities for the successful delivery of contracted services to the customer in a safe, timely and cost-effective manner - within budget and in line with best practice standards.
  • Provide client support through effective build partner engagements, ensuring build programmes for West Wight & Villages plus Trunk networks progress to schedule
  • Continuously develop, review and improve WightFibre Project team performance and methods utilising agreed targets, KPIs and lessons learned.
  • Prioritise and schedule all work activities as required
  • Responsible for the tracking of equipment, inventory and any other expenditure that could potentially impact the financial performance of a project.
  • Ensure the Project Review Reports are accurate by regularly updating the progress of each project. Identify any variance and mitigate any deviation from projects agreed budgets and profit margins
  • Responsible for all agreed project and contract deliverables
  • Liaise with Flomatik Network Services Delivery Team, Account Managers, Bid Team and other appropriate parties to ensure accurate capture of costs in preparation of quotations
  • Attend regular conference calls and meetings with both internal teams and clients
  • Adhere to internal and external, regulatory, operational and Health and Safety compliance procedures
  • Ensure all appropriate site documentation and information is available as part of the Work Package
  • Support regular management calls with clients to discuss progress and issues
Knowledge and Experience:
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Service Delivery / Project Management environment
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the telecoms industry
  • Good understanding of NRSWA requirements and legislation
  • Proven track record of delivery and a proactive approach to managing projects
