Flomatik has a new temporary vacancy (6 mths minimum) for a Service Delivery Manager who will be there to lead the delivery of contracted services to the customer, adhering to agreed timelines and project budgets as detailed in the overall project plan. The role holder will ensure that best practice standards of delivery and execution are provided as per the standards guidelines provided by our customers and Flomatik. 

The role holder is key in maintaining an effective customer interface and relationship with the customer during the Planning and Implementation phases of Service Delivery and to provide a professional, accountable and customer responsive approach. The role holder is also pivotal in supporting the retention of contracted business and support growth of customer base.

This includes the following;

  • Scoping of projects
  • Engagement of sponsors and stakeholders
  • Planning and implementation of projects
  • Setting up the service delivery framework
  • Financial support and responsibility for the project P & L
  • Management of the project team
  • Customer interface

Main Outline Duties and Person Requirement:

  • Full ownership and accountability for the delivery of contracted services to the customer in a timely and cost effective manner without compromising the goal of best practice standards.
  • Implement complex projects with minimum supervision following project management good practice. Set up accurate operational and financial records and produce reports as appropriate.
  • Management of project resources and development of delivery team personnel.
  • Proactive management of the customer relationship including the resolution of complex issues
  • Actively work with other functions within Flomatik to constructively resolve issues whilst encouraging inter-departmental cooperation
  • Use industry knowledge and business expertise to improve the delivery of services
  • Timely submission of weekly billing forecast and monthly Project Review Report in line to deliver projects to agreed budgets and profit margins as per Flomatik’s baseline approvals and approved Job Change Orders
  • Conduct regular operational review meetings with the customers
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered within health and safety best practice
  • Ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures

The Typical personal attributes (skills, aptitude and understandings) might include:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Service Delivery/Project Management environment
  • Minimum 3 years’ general experience in telecommunications or associated industry
  • Excellent Customer Relationship skills
  • Demonstrable management experience
  • Good understanding of project financial management, project and KPI reporting
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • An effective influencer, motivator and virtual team worker
  • Proactive approach to delivering services, growing margin and ensuring a stable delivery model.
  • Solutions thinker to issues and problems with the ability to identify long term solutions, document and train out to the team.
  • High level of commercial awareness
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with both external and internal customers
  • Good working knowledge of “Managing Safely”
  • Professional Project Management accreditation or formal project management training (TPMA/Prince2/APM/PMP)

What we’ll offer:

  • A competitive day rate or pro-rated fixed term contract depending on experience
  • 8.30 – 5.30 hours (Monday – Friday with an hour for lunch)
  • This is a remote based position
