Job Description

Flomatik is seeking a skilled Project Manager (Service Delivery) to work in our Field Engineering Services Business Unit managing engineering projects into one of our key clients. You’ll be reporting into the Senior Project Manager and be responsible for managing all aspects of Flomatik's deliverables. The role is based remotely but will require some time to be spent with the Field Engineering team at Flomatik's Minworth site.  We are seeking a person who has the ability and experience of managing multiple projects in parallel with strong focus on governance backed up by formal PM training/accreditation.

Main Outline Duties:

  • To deliver the contracted services to the customer in line with the agreed timelines within the baseline project plan submitted as part of the project kick off.
  • To strive for best practice standards of delivery and execution as per the standards provided by our customers and Flomatik.
  • To support retention of contracted business and support growth of customer base.
  • To ensure the Flomatik Network Service Delivery Excellence process is adhered to throughout the project life-cycle, maintaining accurate records and producing reports as appropriate
  • To provide an effective customer interface and relationship during the Planning and Implementation phases of Service Delivery, maintaining a professional, accountable and customer responsive approach
  • Plan and put in place effective Health and Safety plans as appropriate
  • To develop and maintain project specific Quality Plans
  • Personal attributes (skills, aptitude and understandings) Required:
  • The delivery of contracted services to the customer in a timely and cost-effective manner within budget and to deliver the expected margin without compromising the goal of best practice standards.
  • Financial accountability of all aspects of the projects allocated to the individual. This includes the tracking of test equipment, overtime, inventory and any other expenditure that could have an impact on the financial performance of a project.
  • Timely submission of weekly billing on Navison and the updating of monthly Project Review Reports i.e. PO tracker. Identify any variance and mitigate any deviation from projects agreed budgets and profit margins as per Flomatik’s Baseline approvals and approved Job Change Orders (JCO’s)
  • Responsible for all project deliveries
  • Ensure all enquiries are captured and logged with the pre-sales team and provide support when required in scoping new services.
  • Liaise with Flomatik Network Services Delivery Team, Account Managers, Bid Team and other appropriate parties to ensure accurate capture of costs in preparation of quotations
  • When required develop a Method Statement in conjunction with technical support as supplied by Field Engineering management. Ensure customer acceptance is achieved prior to Project commencement and upon Project completion
  • Co-ordinate and attend as appropriate customer meetings required in order to complete project planning
  • Provides the Field Engineering Manager with resource requirements for upcoming work (minimum of 7 days forward forecast required)
  • Liaise on a regular basis with customers, suppliers and sub-contractors to ensure effective delivery of Projects against plan at all levels
  • Ensure all materials and resources are scheduled and agreed with Field Engineers team as appropriate
  • Ensure only appropriate costs are booked against the project and surplus materials are returned to stores and costs credited back
  • Ensure all Third-Party stock has part numbers created and booked onto stock.  Also ensure that they are then booked out to site on the relevant job no.
  • Ensure all RMA’s are completed in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all risks are identified, and appropriate mitigation strategies are planned prior to project commencement and throughout Implementation in liaison and with support of Line Management within Projects team.
  • Liaise with site engineers only in regard of specific project issues such as access.
  • Ensure all appropriate site documentation and information is available to scheduled engineers as part of the Work Package
  • Maintain accurate and up to date project files and documents
  • Prompt invoicing within 5 working days of all completed jobs, unless customer specific agreements state otherwise.
  • Liaise with Field Engineering Manager, Senior Project Manager and Business Unit Lead to resolve any Field Engineering related issues which impact Project delivery
  • Conduct regular operational review meetings with the customers.
  • Ensure that the Flomatik Network Services Health and safety policy is adhered to
  • Any other duties which are reasonable to this role

Competency / Skill / Qualification

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Service Delivery/Project Management environment
  • Minimum 3 years’ general experience in telco or associated industry
  • Excellent Customer Relationship skills
  • Demonstrable team leader experience
  • Good understanding of project financial management, project and KPI reporting
  • Computer literate with excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • An effective influencer, motivator and virtual team worker
  • Proactive approach to delivering services, growing margin and ensuring a stable delivery model.
  • Solutions thinker to issues and problems with the ability to identify long term solutions, document and train out to the team.
  • Self-motivated and able to work under pressure
  • Ability to support the strategic development of Engineering Services
  • Effective planning, estimating and administrative skills
  • High level of commercial awareness
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with both external and internal customers
  • Ensure that all company procedures are adhered to
  • Good working knowledge of “Managing Safely”
  • Professional Project Management accreditation or formal project management training (TPMA/Prince2/APM/PMP)
  • Occasional travel to customer site for meetings and performance reviews
